Welcome

Welcome to my little corner of the world. I am so honored by your visit today. My name is Kristi and I am married to my college sweetheart(I refer to him here as "Mr. Incredible"), momma to my 2 beautiful girls who are growing much too quickly, a high school computer teacher, photographer, and a gardener (at times~right now I'm growing weeds). I love to laugh, drink strong Starbucks coffee, take pictures, and be anywhere my family is. Jesus is my Savior and I try so hard to be the wife and momma that He has called me to be. I often fail but He lovingly picks me up, dusts me off, and encourages me that with Him all things are possible. Feel free to join me on this journey of faith, stop in and say hello, look around, and leave a comment~I love comments. Why "Kiki's Corner?" My nephews call me Aunt Kiki and I love that too.

Show us Your Life-Christmas Trees

Photobucket

Welcome to our home. I am so excited that you decided to drop by. I would love to fix you a hot, steamy cup of cider and show you my Christmas trees for reals....but instead, I'll try to show you in pictures. May the blessing of the Lord be yours this Christmas!

This is our "Family" tree. It is always the last thing we decorate each year. It doesn't really have a theme but each ornament has a story and it is fun to hear the laughter and the stories as each one is hung.

My parents brought me the wide tulle like ribbon from Canton and I just love it!!!!

Every year I try to add an ornament that best represents our family (this year it was an ornament from our trip to St. John) and one for each of our daughters to capture their year.

Rachel is our walking miracle. It is hard for me to believe that her brain surgery was just one week ago. We set out yesterday to find the perfect ornament. Miss Casey's, an awesome Christmas store, had the perfect one. It is pink just like the "praying for Rachel" bracelets we had made and they personalized it to say, "With God Miracles Happen. Psalm 126:3 Rachel 2009."

Hannah is playing junior high basketball this year. She has scored a total of 39 points in 3 games so we had to go with a basketball!

I saved baby shoes from my girls and put them on the tree every year. I even saved the "Nestles" baby hair gel bottle and hang it with a ribbon on the tree every year:

This is another tabletop tree in our family room. Once upon a time, Mom and I made crafts for area craft shows. My dad and Mr. Incredible built the wooden boxes, and Mom and I painted them and added dried fruits and nests, ribbons, stars, and lights.

This is another tree from our craft show days. I added gingerbread people and placed it on our kitchen table:

This is another small tabletop tree on our bar/eating area in the kitchen. I gave an easy tutorial here last year.

This is my Texas tree that sits on my kitchen island~thanks Mom and Dad! They bought it at Canton, Texas several years ago. I had a USA tub that seems to hold it perfectly:

This is our living room tree. This room is in all neutrals, so I decorated this tree with creams, whites, silver, and gold:

I like these little birdies...I always think of Nester when I put them on the tree (and I don't even know her in real life....blog land is so much fun!)

This is a fun tree in the gameroom:

The girls painted these little wooden ornaments years ago:

This is Rachel's tree (another tree from the Sunday House in Canton, TX) and Kelly, she leaves this up year around:

(I just realized Hannah did not put up her tree this year)
This is in my entry way. It is a topiary tree from Hobby Lobby that I normally have in my kitchen but I add red sprigs to it and use it on my entry-way table:

Almost finished. Are you still with me?
These are our outside trees. I found the gold ornament trees at Lowes this year, had Mr. Incredible help me put them in my black pots, and placed them on the porch. I left the dirt in my pots and everything.
I really like how they add some glitz to the front porch:

Whew! That is all. Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the world today! I am looking forward to seeing your Christmas trees too.
Now, go visit Kelly's Korner to see incredible Christmas trees!

Your home is beautiful!!! I am sure this is going to be a very meaningful christmas for your family. I love the idea of the baby shoes on the tree. I have several pairs of little ladybug's shoes saved so I will have to start adding these at our house too. I started collecting the hallmark keepsake ornaments last year for her first christmas and went a little over board. Hoping she will have enough to take with her when she gets married. At this rate she will be able to decorate about 20 trees by the time she is 18 :) haha. So glad all is going well :)

I love love love your ornament trees on your front porch! So beautiful. Obviously, I arrived from Kelly's Korner (actually from a comment you left on my blog)... But, I wanted to tell you that I read about your daughter and just prayed for a "complications-free" brain surgery. I'll be sure to check back and see how your daughter's surgery went.

Merry Christmas!!

How beautiful everything is at your house!! And how much lighter your hearts must be today!!! I am so happy that everything went well with Rachel.

I want you to know that I was truly moved by every post leading up to her surgery. The fear showed, but your faith never wavered. I was inspired so much by your courage and trust. Thanks.

What a blessed, wonderful Christmas you will have.

ALL of your decor is just gorgeous! I'm excited to keep filling up my tree with mementos, too.

I saw on your profile that you went to Baylor. I graduated almost 10 years ago with a degree in education as well. Blessings to you and your family!
