Welcome

Welcome to my little corner of the world. I am so honored by your visit today. My name is Kristi and I am married to my college sweetheart(I refer to him here as "Mr. Incredible"), momma to my 2 beautiful girls who are growing much too quickly, a high school computer teacher, photographer, and a gardener (at times~right now I'm growing weeds). I love to laugh, drink strong Starbucks coffee, take pictures, and be anywhere my family is. Jesus is my Savior and I try so hard to be the wife and momma that He has called me to be. I often fail but He lovingly picks me up, dusts me off, and encourages me that with Him all things are possible. Feel free to join me on this journey of faith, stop in and say hello, look around, and leave a comment~I love comments. Why "Kiki's Corner?" My nephews call me Aunt Kiki and I love that too.

Update on Rachel

Thank you for praying for us yesterday. Rachel's MRI went very well. God has blessed each visit to the hospital with wonderful, very caring, nurses and physicians. They were certainly very thorough as they used both MRI machines to focus on her neck area and her head and the procedure lasted nearly 2 hours. My husband and I were able to stay with her. We held hands and prayed for Rachel the entire time.

We still don't know anything yet, but we are hoping to hear something today. We had to double up on her pain medicine last night. I think it was one of the worst headaches that she has had. MRI's are extremely loud and a a bit scary, so perhaps that is what brought on such terrible pain. Her daddy slept on the couch last night so that she could stay next to me all night. I think that helped all of us get a little bit more sleep.

With my prayers for my precious daughter, I am asking God to guard our minds too. The evil one would certainly like for us to jump off the deep end and start playing the "what if..." game. Instead, I am asking God to guard our hearts and minds. We take great comfort in knowing He is over it all and He loves Rachel even more than we do...which seems incomprehensible to me...but I know it to be true.

On the way to the hospital yesterday, I was telling her about all of you who are so graciously praying for her. We so appreciate your generosity in prayer...more than I can explain.

Kristi,
I'm writing Rachel's name on our church's prayer request today. IT'S A HUGE CHURCH SO MANY WILL PRAY.

Our son Tony used to get migraines so bad when he was her age. One night I came home from a church thing and when I got out of my truck could hear him wailing in the house he was hurting so bad! I was so scared... and the doctors found a medicine for him that eased his pain and he just had to take it for awhile and God took it all away from him. He gets a headache now and then now... but nothing like that. KEEP BELIEVING... AND TRUSTING.
Love ya girl,
GIVING YOU A BIG HUG MOTHER TO MOTHER

Kristi - thank you for visiting me... and being so kind to leave a note that you would be praying for Christopher.

I, too, will be praying for Rachel. And, you! Us, momma bears want to protect our cubs, don't we? Yet, God reminds us that He is their Father and loves them even more then we do... if that is possible!

We'll keep praying until an answer is found or the problem goes away completely. It is so difficult when our kids are hurting. But God is faithful, no matter what. He will go through this journey with each of you.

I'm continuing to pray for Rachel (that's my daughter's name as well!) and for your whole family.

I will continue to pray for dear Rachel. You are right, God is all over this and He knows already the outcome. You all are in His hands.

Thanks for the update on Rachel. Continuing to pray. When I get back to work tomorrow, I will add her to my office Bible Study prayer list, so that others too will be praying for her. Praying too for an added measure of peace for you and your hubby. There is much truth in what you said...the evil one loves to taunt us with "what ifs" and try to tear down our faith in He who loves us so much. Please keep us updated.

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you. Trust in the Lord always for the Lord GOD is the eternal rock.
~ Isaiah 26:3-4 (NLT)
