Welcome to my little corner of the world. I am so honored by your visit today. My name is Kristi and I am married to my college sweetheart(I refer to him here as "Mr. Incredible"), momma to my 2 beautiful girls who are growing much too quickly, a high school computer teacher, photographer, and a gardener (at times~right now I'm growing weeds). I love to laugh, drink strong Starbucks coffee, take pictures, and be anywhere my family is. Jesus is my Savior and I try so hard to be the wife and momma that He has called me to be. I often fail but He lovingly picks me up, dusts me off, and encourages me that with Him all things are possible. Feel free to join me on this journey of faith, stop in and say hello, look around, and leave a comment~I love comments. Why "Kiki's Corner?" My nephews call me Aunt Kiki and I love that too.

The One We Praise

"Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for You are the One I praise." Jeremiah 17:14

There are so many scriptures that we are praying over our precious daughter. This verse just seemed to leap off the page today. She has loved to sing His praises since she was little.

It is not uncommon to hear Rachel listening to Skillet or Stellar Kart, or Air 1 while Hannah is listening to one of her favorites too. It gets a bit loud with the dueling bands but the sounds are always full of joy. They both love contemporary Christian music.

Rachel has had such a headache that we have missed hearing the sounds of blaring music coming from her room. But, just the other day I heard the wonderful sounds of music coming from her room. It was a little bit of the familiar in the midst of the unfamiliar and my heart rejoiced.

We are believing God for a healing for Rachel like no other. Oh, how He is already working! I woke her up twice in the night to give her pain medicine and she did not have a headache either time! She was sleeping so soundly. Hallelujah!

Thank you for your incredible prayer support and for joining us on this journey of faith.
(We will see the pediatric neurosurgeon Friday morning.)

My oldest is a Rachel too. Both my girls love Contemporary Christian music and it's not unusual to have a house filled with music. It is a true blessing to me.

Praying for healing for Rachel and blessings to you all.

Hi there! I saw you commented over at Edie's and it was your name that caught my eye, my kitty-cat's name is "KiKI". (he's so cute!)

So I was intrigued to hope over and meet you. I've only read your latest post, about your daughter. I look forward to reading more, as I can see that she's not feeling well, and I am happy to lift her up in prayer along with the others :O)

God bless to you & your family,

AMEN!!Blessings Kristi & may HEALING be the answer for Rachel as you claim & believe this WORD for her and Isaiah 53:5. I went back to read as much as I can to understand your present concerns & I'm so thankful that she was able to sleep more soundly. I will join with you & the others support & holding you, Rachel & your family as you await Fri.'s appt. May God continue to answer as you call Jer.33:3! Standing in belief that Rachel's smile will keep shining like this!
How wonderful that you encouraged her to journal and she did so well.
Love how Streams in the Desert was speaking the words you needed to hear! Beautiful WFW, photo & verse!

This is a beautiful picture of your daughter and an awesome verse. I've spent the last bit going back and catching up, I haven't stopped by in a while, but I'm so glad I did.

My heart just aches for what you are all going through. It's so familiar, I remember the uncertainty of this summer when my girls got sick with things the doctors were unfamiliar with and that were scary. I'll pray that you continue to see God's faithful hand of guidance and healing throughout the situation. I will also pray against discouragement that the enemy tries to bring. Keep up the updates and we'll keep praying. Rebecca

Hey Kristi,

First, I love the verse and especially the song. This was our song after my son was dx with a brain tumor.

Jordan was 16 when he started with the headaches. My heart goes out to you, you just hate to see your child suffer.

I think I know the name of the disease she may have, please let me know the name.

Anyhow, we took a journey we never dreamed of, but 5 years down the road, I would never trade a day in for all we learned, how we grew in the Lord and the friends we made on the way.

God has been so faithful each step of the way.

I'll keep your daughter in prayer and believe for her complete healing.
