Welcome

Welcome to my little corner of the world. I am so honored by your visit today. My name is Kristi and I am married to my college sweetheart(I refer to him here as "Mr. Incredible"), momma to my 2 beautiful girls who are growing much too quickly, a high school computer teacher, photographer, and a gardener (at times~right now I'm growing weeds). I love to laugh, drink strong Starbucks coffee, take pictures, and be anywhere my family is. Jesus is my Savior and I try so hard to be the wife and momma that He has called me to be. I often fail but He lovingly picks me up, dusts me off, and encourages me that with Him all things are possible. Feel free to join me on this journey of faith, stop in and say hello, look around, and leave a comment~I love comments. Why "Kiki's Corner?" My nephews call me Aunt Kiki and I love that too.

Taking Pictures on the Concho River

I am still smiling when I think about the beautiful wedding this past Saturday. It really was special. So special, that my youngest, Hannah, exclaimed that this was her kind of wedding except she wants the fields to be planted in thousands of white daisies. But a long time from now!!! (I added that last part).

I really debated about taking my camera to the wedding. I didn't want to be obnoxious and I just can't seem to take one picture and then leave well enough alone. I am starting to see the world through the lens of my camera and I LOVE it! But, Mr. Incredible talked me into bringing my big girl camera and I was so thankful!

The Concho River was the perfect setting to snap some pictures of my family...and they didn't mind one bit. Delight!

My girls make taking good pictures so easy. I know they are mine, I am their proud momma, but they are so gorgeous! And growing much too quickly {sob!}.

Our precious Rachel Ann is wrapping up her Junior year in high school. She will soon be a senior {gulp! and more sobbing!}. Sweet daughter of mine, you are beautiful inside and out~a true gift from the Lord!

Our precious Hannah Linn is wrapping up her seventh grade year in junior high. And like her mother she is not ready for her sister's senior year. As she exclaimed to me the other day, "Momma, I don't want Rachel to graduate. I am going to miss her. And when she is in college it will just be you and I and Daddy-great!" She said "great" as in yuck and then she added, "What are we going to do?" I think I said something about maybe Jesus would return before then and she and I both smiled at the thought. Sweet daughter of mine, you too are beautiful inside and out~a true gift from the Lord!

Daddy and his girls! He asked me this morning where the pictures of me were? Really??? And then he smiled and said, "Remind me to take some pictures of you the next time too, ok?"

My father-in-law asked me to take this picture of him with his son (Mr. Incredible) and son-in-law (Uncle G) and I was so thrilled. I shoulded have added my nephews to this photo too. This is such a beautiful place to take pictures.

Speaking of my nephews...here they are!

Photobucket

I love this one of "A"and of course I love him too. He is looking pretty grown up. Isn't his pink shirt awesome?

And then my youngest nephew "Double A." Can you see a look of ornery-ness in his eyes? He is the baby of the family, and he knows it, and he still likes to cuddle and of course, we love him dearly too.

Poppie and his grandchildren (we missed you Nonnie-who was busy getting ready for the reception):

And then something came over 2 of them! And they started making up poses for the camera:

And a third one joined the party:

And then they found a fourth and 3 more to join in the fun. It looks like they are up to something:

Ahhhh! I love it! But I think the littlest recruit needs to find a bathroom. She realized this fact right in the middle of the wedding. I wish that you could have seen her mother's face. It was priceless. What's a mom to do with a little one who can't wait in a location surrounded by only trees? Find the nearest tree, of course.

Photobucket

These 3 girls are so cute. I remember dressing my girls in matching dresses and matching bows. It seems like yesterday, really it does!

After the photo shoot, the kids had fun finding sticks to throw into the water:

"Double A" even saw a tadpole that completely freaked him out! He jumped and then all 3 of the little girls jumped. Here he is looking at the tadpole from safely behind the girls who were ready to try to "stomp it." The whole thing made me giggle.

Photobucket

There was the coolest fallen tree that my girls spotted. Rachel and "A" are looking a bit ornery themselves:

More Supermodel pose time. Look at the faces of "Double A" and the other little girls. I think they wanted to join the party too.

Fun memories to treasure! Thank you, Mr. Incredible for encouraging me to take my big girl camera! You were so right!
