Welcome

Welcome to my little corner of the world. I am so honored by your visit today. My name is Kristi and I am married to my college sweetheart(I refer to him here as "Mr. Incredible"), momma to my 2 beautiful girls who are growing much too quickly, a high school computer teacher, photographer, and a gardener (at times~right now I'm growing weeds). I love to laugh, drink strong Starbucks coffee, take pictures, and be anywhere my family is. Jesus is my Savior and I try so hard to be the wife and momma that He has called me to be. I often fail but He lovingly picks me up, dusts me off, and encourages me that with Him all things are possible. Feel free to join me on this journey of faith, stop in and say hello, look around, and leave a comment~I love comments. Why "Kiki's Corner?" My nephews call me Aunt Kiki and I love that too.

Thankful Thursday-Grace

I'm so thankful for grace! (I've watched Christmas Vacation way too many times, because I just relived that scene where they ask the Aunt to say grace for dinner and she says," Grace? Oh, she died 3 years ago!) I need to focus! I meant to type, I'm thankful for God's grace!

God's grace is unmerited favor with God. It's not deserved, not earned, and it is absolutely incomprehensible to my mortal mind. I shudder to think where my life would be except for His grace! "But by the grace of God I am what I am..." I Corinthians 15:10.

Oh, there is no good in me alone. The only good in me is Jesus Christ Himself who is trying daily to conform my natural self into His image. Some days are more of a struggle then others because I can be stubborn!

He lovingly bestows more than enough grace for the moment and I'm so thankful. I'm not sure that I will ever completely understand the mystery of grace on this side of Heaven but for today, I will bask in His glorious grace and thank Him for blessing me far beyond what I deserve. He is absolutely incredible, all together lovely, all together wonderful...to me...and to you!

"The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen." Romans 16:24.

Joyfully,

Kristi

Yup you shouldn't have gone there lol. I was stuck on Grace, Oh she died 3 years ago! But I managed to come back and read the rest lol. You are so right sister. What would we do without God's grace?
Blessings to you!

That is so funny b/c I was just talking to another friend about Christmas Vacation...what a riot that movie is. Anyway, I am so very grateful for the Lord's grace. Just the morning, Brea went into Brooke's room right after she fell asleep, turned on the light, and said, "Good morning, sister!" Grace, Lord, please give me grace. I wasn't too pleased in that moment. So, I sent Brea to her room for 10 more minutes. When she came out it was time to get the bread out of the oven. She said, "Mommy, that smells so delicious." It made me heart smile and fixed the grump in me that had started to form. Anyway, have a great day.

Okay, I just went from laughing out loud at the Christmas Vacation quote to crying, yea even sobbing, at the marvelous gift of grace. Oh, what a wonderful blessing it is. Who are we that He would love us *so* much?? Thank you for sharing your thankful heart and reminding me to be thankful as well..

Now you've got me singing an old hymn!

"Grace, grace, God's grace. Grace that will pardon and cleanse within. Grace, grace, God's grace. Grace that is greater than all my sins."

Praise Him!

Kristi,

AMEN! Oh how good is God to give us anything let alone His grace. Which is more than enough and sufficient to meet our every need.

We are so blessed and once we all stop trying to do and allow His grace to do - then and only then can we experience the peace and joy He promises!

Blessings and love,
Jill

You had me laughing right along with you at the scene in Christmas vacation, then that beautiful song started playing as I continued reading. I recognized it immediately. Never fails to make me cry. How I loved your post. Such beautiful, heartfelt thoughts about the abundant gift of God's grace. My heart overflows with thanks...

Blessings,
Tracy

I,too, am thankful for the grace of God. I know that is the only way that my husband and I are where we are. So undeserving, so sinful.... He still gives us His grace.

Thanks for stopping by to visit, Kristi!

Your post was beautiful and echos my feelings exactly. Where would we be without God's grace? I constantly have to go back to God to be picked up, brushed off and start again!
