Mr C {A Newborn Sneak Peek}

I have been counting the days until these precious 2 would visit my studio. Miss M is a proud big sister to her baby brother. How do I know? If Mr. C would even make the tiniest little sound, she wanted to go help him...so precious!

I smile every time I see the above picture!


And her little brother is absolutely beautiful...I should probably say handsome, since he is a boy, but oh my goodness gracious, he is perfect!

And there she is...big sister! Don't you just know these two are going to have so much fun together growing up?!

Oh, all of this adorableness makes me want to throw caution to the wind and....okay maybe I'll just add my name to the long list of friends and family who would babysit these two any time! Come over to Kiki's house any time and please don't grow up too quickly okay?!

Mr B {A Sneak Peek}

This precious little one year old is a walking miracle and I was so thrilled to have the blessing of photographing him. I remember when his "Peach" texted me from the hospital and asking so many of us to join us in praying for the Great Physician to heal this little one. And oh, how God answered!

There were multiple surgeries for this happy little guy, but you would never know it now:

Oh, those precious eyes....I wonder what he was thinking about?!

His Peach, and I had fun singing the "Tigger" song and I even learned the "Weannie Man" song too. Ha! His Peach would do anything for him! She even has a special drawer in her kitchen just for his special toys...love that!

If he were mine, I would have to make this image into a large canvas or standout...I could look at those beautiful baby blue eyes all day long!

Thank you Peach and Mr. B for letting me come over to play! And if you ever need a babysitter, you know where to find me!

4 Sweet Cousins {A Sneak Peek}

Love these sweet ones! But, they are growing much too quickly. This was a photo from Tuesday's photo session where they braved 20 mph wind and smiled liked they were professional models in spite of the weather:

And this is them only a year and a half ago. Can you tell we were freezing in spite of the beautiful golden sunlight of fall?!  Wow how time flies:

It was fun to play on the family tractor!

And then it was time to bring out the shades! Summer perfection!

Even Clifford, aka Chester, sported some fabulous shades too!

A Special Photo Shoot with 2G {A Sneak Peek}

My family and I were blessed to spend a few hours with this precious family this past Saturday.  It was a special time carefully selected and marked on each family member's calendar...a day to take pictures with their beloved 2G.  2G, or Miss Nelle, is a special lady and it was my great joy to get to capture her with the family she adores!

This is 2G and her family on her cotton field where they are drilling oil!


This has to be one of my favorites! 2G with her Great-Granddaughters...love her expression!



Getting four generations together for pictures is a mighty priceless occasion, don't you think?!

2G is expecting another great-grandson in October and he will have the coolest name! Love the lighting of this image!

Suite Surrender Clip

I had so much fun taking pictures of the play for myself, the yearbook, and the Playbills, that I never had a chance to video my baby girl in her role as Mrs. Osgood.  A friend of mine offered a copy of her video in exchange for some pictures! Delight!

Here is my baby girl in a clip from the play as Mrs. Osgood.  If you don't know Hannah, she normally has a Texan accent but she worked very hard to perfect a Julia Child-like voice.

Suite Surrender

May 3rd was the High School's One Act Play public performance of "Suite Surrender." Hannah and the rest of her cast and crew have had an absolute blast. I believe they have put in well over 300 hours of practice...and their performance showed all of their hard work.

I'm sure that I told you we just barely missed going to the State competition. They were State Alternates but will always be first in our heart! They were incredible! And I was, and still am, very proud of our baby girl. It's quite a big deal, in my book, to be the only Freshman cast member, in a sea of upper classmen. What a year!

I wanted to do something special for Hannah and the rest of the Cast and Crew. The Lord reminded me of Playbills. After checking with the Director and High School Principal, I was thrilled to be able to design a Playbill, have them printed locally, and then have all of the money raised from the sale of Playbills go directly to the Director to help reimburse her for her extra expenses. After the performance, the cast and crew signed their autographs in the Playbills which was so fun!

She beamed as she entered:

One day I asked Hannah how she got rid of her nerves before going on stage.  She replied, "I kiss Leeroy, say 'Bon Appetite!' and then go on stage!"  I looked at her in amazement and asked her who Leeroy is!  She laughingly replied, "My ferret that I wear on my costume!"  Oiy!  I was afraid there was a stage boy named Leeroy backstage that I had yet to meet.  Ha!

It was fun to see so many sweetly asking the cast for autographs.  I heard one person comment that you just never know. One of these amazing students just might be famous someday.  Here is Hannah and "Leeroy!" 

We ended the evening with a party hosted by Mr. Incredible's parents, sister,  and Aunt Robbie. They provided hamburgers, chips and dip, and homemade ice cream and cookies.  One of the seniors in the cast adored the strawberry ice cream so much he vowed to marry it.  Drama people...you gotta love them!

After a few days of record 100 degree heat, this sight was a welcome relief:

Love the warm sunlight streaming through the rain clouds...love my baby girl's joy on that beautiful face of hers!

And the sight of my man bringing home dinner! Yes! I fell in love with him all over again!!!

My garden has been loving this rain too!!
