Welcome

Welcome to my little corner of the world. I am so honored by your visit today. My name is Kristi and I am married to my college sweetheart(I refer to him here as "Mr. Incredible"), momma to my 2 beautiful girls who are growing much too quickly, a high school computer teacher, photographer, and a gardener (at times~right now I'm growing weeds). I love to laugh, drink strong Starbucks coffee, take pictures, and be anywhere my family is. Jesus is my Savior and I try so hard to be the wife and momma that He has called me to be. I often fail but He lovingly picks me up, dusts me off, and encourages me that with Him all things are possible. Feel free to join me on this journey of faith, stop in and say hello, look around, and leave a comment~I love comments. Why "Kiki's Corner?" My nephews call me Aunt Kiki and I love that too.

See You at the Pole 2013

What a perfect way to begin the day!  Praising the Most High and bathed in glorious Light!

Our students gathered early at the high school to pray.  I am so proud of them.

Class Ring

Our baby girl has her class ring. Pardon me while I crawl in a corner and sob for a moment. Time, why do you have to fly by so quickly?!

She has counted the days until the Junior Class Ring Ceremony!

They get to sign a letter of intent to graduate.

They carefully pass out the rings and make them wait until everyone has a box.

Then the Josten's rep counts down from 15 (Class of 2015)

It's hard to wait!

Getting closer....nearly time for the big ring reveal:

Ready? Set? Go!

Delight!

It's official!  Our baby has a class ring!

One of my yearbook students snapped this one of the two of us.  My baby girl, please quit growing up so very fast.  We are so proud of you!

Newborn Sweetness

"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:14

Mr. S and His Big Sister

I loved spending Saturday morning with these two!  Don't you just know these two are going to have the best time growing up together?!

Precious with a capital P!

Precious Newborn Mr. S

Isn't he the most precious little cowboy?  I love it that he flashed this smile...big as Dallas!  Pure delight!

Mr "W" {A Sneak Peek}

I had a blast chasing our little neighbor through his daddy's cotton field

I really was in "high cotton," Wednesday evening with this sweet family.  Love this image of these two.

And I absolutely love the joy captured in this image.  Wheeler with his Gigi.

Hello, John Deere? I think we may have found a new spokesperson/model for your next commercial!  He was ready to fire it up and take it for a spin.  Love this smile and look at those boots.

He has a natural gift for figuring things out.  That look of shear determination combined with a bit of orneriness makes me grin from ear to ear.

Wheeler, you are growing up so fast!

Oh, that grin!

I'm not sure what he was thinking here, but I love this expression!

Getting Artsy

Ya'll! I am so excited about this!!!  Wanting to capture my daughter's love of the game and have images to hang on our walls....this idea was born!  I may be totally biased because that's my baby girl making her shot in last year's playoff game, but I love this look!  I ordered some samples from my printing company.  I hope I like them just as much when they arrive on my doorstep.

Hatch Green Chile Casserole

Hatch Green Chiles are here.  Oh, how I love the smell of these roasted.  Our local HEB roasts them for us which makes this recipe so much easier.  Last year, I tried to roast them myself.  I like them pre-roasted,  This casserole is easy to put together and makes your home smell incredible.

I put chicken breasts in my crock pot so that they would be ready and waiting after school. And I used fresh roasted hatch chiles instead of the canned.  Yum!

I found the recipe here.

My Umbrella Girls

I love it when the dark clouds roll in.  These images are some of my most favorite of my beautiful girls....but then I have about a million favorite images of them!

Photo of the Morning

This Senior is stunning!  Don't you agree?

PSL 2013

They are finally back!!!  And that makes this heart of mine leap for joy.  Have you had your first PSL of the Season?  And yes, I am totally enjoying every sip....even in our 100 degree temps.

Thursday Turtle

A few weeks ago we had incredible rain clouds move in.  Rain is always a blessing, but especially in our part of Texas.

I was visiting outside with my mom, contemplating doing a little moody umbrella, rain session, when we spotted this guy literally running across the driveway.  He wasn't too impressed to see us or have Hannah pick him up.  But I thought he was too cool not to photograph.  The markings are so neat on turtles.  God is so creative!

Friday Night Lights

School began a week ago and we have already had our first football game!  I am back on the sidelines taking pictures of our football boys.

I never really cared that much about football until I became a teacher.  I've always loved basketball, probably because I played basketball and volleyball in high school. There is just something about knowing who is putting their heart and soul and best efforts in to the game, that makes me really enjoy football.

Here are just a few from the first football game of the season:

My Drum Major

We are back in the full swing of things around here. School began with a bang and there is no looking back. Ready or not!   And my baby girl, who is a Junior this year, is a Drum Major. Her big sister was a drum major her Senior year. So proud!

She has put in a lot of hard work getting ready for band this year and she is over-the-top excited!

I don't know how she can lead her band, keep time, and not fall off the platform.  I'm thankful she is more graceful than her mom.  Ha!

Love the intensity and concentration on her face.  This is a year that we can advance....fingers crossed!

It's hard for me to take pictures of the football players on the sidelines when I see my baby girl.  Go Hannah!
