Welcome

Welcome to my little corner of the world. I am so honored by your visit today. My name is Kristi and I am married to my college sweetheart(I refer to him here as "Mr. Incredible"), momma to my 2 beautiful girls who are growing much too quickly, a high school computer teacher, photographer, and a gardener (at times~right now I'm growing weeds). I love to laugh, drink strong Starbucks coffee, take pictures, and be anywhere my family is. Jesus is my Savior and I try so hard to be the wife and momma that He has called me to be. I often fail but He lovingly picks me up, dusts me off, and encourages me that with Him all things are possible. Feel free to join me on this journey of faith, stop in and say hello, look around, and leave a comment~I love comments. Why "Kiki's Corner?" My nephews call me Aunt Kiki and I love that too.

Ahh....Beautiful golden light wrapping around this sweet family.  Their sign says,  "This is our happily ever after."

Oh Snap Class Recap

I could hardly sleep last night!  My mind was reeling with the excitement of the class and the joy in spending time with these beautiful moms!

What a blessing to combine my love of teaching with my love of photography. Oh, God is so good!  I hope they had as much fun as I did!  I loved seeing their light bulb moments during the class.

I spent the afternoon getting ready and counting the minutes until class began.

These cupcakes count as Semi-homemade right?  I did carefully pull them out of their little plastic containers that HEB wrapped them in and put them on pretty platters.  :-)

And then I tried to make the water bottles look a bit nicer.  Ha!  I was able to find waterproof labels but only for wine glasses.  Oh dear!

Each guest received a special Swag Bag with all kinds of great things inside.

I was so busy teaching, I only snapped a few images.  I really wanted a group picture of all of them~sigh!

This is our beautiful model!  And she has already sweetly volunteered to model again if there is another class. Delight!

I loved every single part of the class, but one of my favorite moments was watching the moms practice and enjoy showing each other their images.

What a fun night!  I cannot wait to see their images and hear how their practicing is going.  Their children will love their mommas even more one day when they see all of the images captured of their childhood.  Happy Snapping Girlies!

It's Raining!

What a blessing the rain in our part of Texas is! It's just what this dry desert has needed.  We have rejoiced in God's goodness and the blessing of cooler temperatures.  It has been the most wonderful break from 90 to 100 degree days.

As I was watching the clouds roll back in and looking at the beautifully cut field, this idea popped in my head.  I simply had to do a quick photo shoot to capture our beautiful baby girl in her red dress surrounded by the beautiful dark clouds right before the rain began to fall again. Delight!

The Next Chapter

I've been a Pastor's Kid for the past 30 years. What a blessing my dad is. Sunday, listening to the Lord's leading, he announced his retirement. My heart is heavy and my emotions a bit overwhelmed but more than anything, I am so thankful that He listened to God's calling on his life 30 years ago, for the blessing of his ministry, the joy of being his daughter, and the excitement he and mom have for this new adventure with The Lord. (I was upstairs running the PowerPoint for Dad as my mom and family were on the first and second row on the far right). I'm so thankful God prompted my heart to snap this image with my iPhone.  I will treasure it!!!

A new chapter unfolds and it is written by The Lord, Himself....it's His story after all.

Photo of the Morning

We are home from the most wonderful vacation. The location was absolutely beautiful and one of my most favorite places in the world. But the best part? Spending uninterrupted time with my family and my parents. What a blessing!

We are back home and back in full swing. Our girls are busy with camp and college summer classes and I am missing them so much!!! I set my camera, handed it to my man, and he took this image. I treasure it! This is a picture of my girls and I. The tears are starting to flow so I better wrap this post up!

What a wonderful gift from Above to be their mom!

First Session Back

We are back from the most wonderful vacation....and in less than 48 hours, I got to photograph this precious little one's First Birthday Session.  It was a blast!  He has the happiest little heart.  I have so many more to post, but I just got home from the session and had to post this one.  Happy first birthday little one...you are dearly loved!
