Our Thanksgiving Day/Christmas Celebration

Yes, you read my title correctly.  We celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas all on the same day.  Really, we did!  This was the year that Mr. Incredible's family makes the long trek from Houston to our area.  We only get to see them every other year. 

Mr. Incredible's mom and aunts work so hard to get everything together.  I think there were 55 of us that gathered together this Thanksgiving.  We celebrated Thanksgiving early that afternoon and then the little cousins opened their presents early that evening. 

But, while we waited for all of the family to gather and the food to be perfectly placed, we went outside and found this!  And look who decided to join the fun.  Rachel is on the left and Hannah is on the right but you can't tell because her hair got in the way.  They were going so fast!

Oh, my goodness!  After dinner (I was hungry and didn't take any pictures of the feast~sorry!) it was time for dessert.  My mother-in-law is a caterer, remember?  She made her famous to-die-for chocolate cake.  I could bathe in the chocolate icing.  It is delicious. And I am not the only fan.  This little princess LOVES some chocolate cake.  She waited patiently for her daddy to bring her a fork as she kept eyeing the chocolatey goodness.  Finally, he arrived and asked her if she was going to share.  She sweetly replied that God wanted her to share her toys...but not her chocolate cake!  Love it! 

 A few of the little cousins asked me if it was time to open their presents.  One little miss in particular asked me if she could pretty-please just open one present...she had 3...and she only wanted to open one.  Please, Aunt Kiki!!!  I smiled sweetly and told her to go ask Nonnie (I didn't want to be the bad guy).  But, she was right!  It was time...but before they could unwrap their gifts, they all had to pose for pictures for their parents (as if they hadn't been tortured long enough~ha!):

 The pictures were finished and it was time to unwrap.  Do you want to see what a room of 55 people at my mother-in-law's house looks like? I couldn't get all 55 in the picture at one time but I think you get the idea:

 And then we were all worn out!

Even the new puppy was tired.
