The One We Praise

"Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for You are the One I praise." Jeremiah 17:14

There are so many scriptures that we are praying over our precious daughter. This verse just seemed to leap off the page today. She has loved to sing His praises since she was little.

It is not uncommon to hear Rachel listening to Skillet or Stellar Kart, or Air 1 while Hannah is listening to one of her favorites too. It gets a bit loud with the dueling bands but the sounds are always full of joy. They both love contemporary Christian music.

Rachel has had such a headache that we have missed hearing the sounds of blaring music coming from her room. But, just the other day I heard the wonderful sounds of music coming from her room. It was a little bit of the familiar in the midst of the unfamiliar and my heart rejoiced.

We are believing God for a healing for Rachel like no other. Oh, how He is already working! I woke her up twice in the night to give her pain medicine and she did not have a headache either time! She was sleeping so soundly. Hallelujah!

Thank you for your incredible prayer support and for joining us on this journey of faith.
(We will see the pediatric neurosurgeon Friday morning.)

Joyfully,
Kristi

  25. This is a beautiful picture of your daughter and an awesome verse. I've spent the last bit going back and catching up, I haven't stopped by in a while, but I'm so glad I did.

My heart just aches for what you are all going through. It's so familiar, I remember the uncertainty of this summer when my girls got sick with things the doctors were unfamiliar with and that were scary. I'll pray that you continue to see God's faithful hand of guidance and healing throughout the situation. I will also pray against discouragement that the enemy tries to bring. Keep up the updates and we'll keep praying. Rebecca

  26. Hey Kristi,

First, I love the verse and especially the song. This was our song after my son was dx with a brain tumor.

Jordan was 16 when he started with the headaches. My heart goes out to you, you just hate to see your child suffer.

I think I know the name of the disease she may have, please let me know the name.

Anyhow, we took a journey we never dreamed of, but 5 years down the road, I would never trade a day in for all we learned, how we grew in the Lord and the friends we made on the way.

God has been so faithful each step of the way.

I'll keep your daughter in prayer and believe for her complete healing.

    Blessings!!!
